How is an audit carried out?

before the audit is started.

The audit is announced by e-mail.

Contact by telephone with the team coordinator (to jointly draw up the weekly planning, among other things). The team coordinator acts as contact point for the educational institution.

Day 1 to day 3 or 4
|
- Guided tour by the pupils (only nursery and primary education)
- Initial discussion with the policy team on quality development of the institution.
During this discussion the school can illustrate its quality management system and its policy through a self-chosen topic (selected topic/priority).
- Discussion on the quality (management) of the quality area with members from the school team.
- Discussion with teachers on the quality (management) of the teaching and education practice.
- Discussion with the policy team and the internal health and safety team on habitability, safety and hygiene.
- Discussion with pupils or course participants: to that end, the institution selects a representative sample of ten pupils or course participants. This discussion is held on the basis of statements.
- Discussion with parents: to that end, the institution selects a representative sample of 8 parents. This discussion is held on the basis of statements.

Penultimate or last day of the audit
|
In a reflection discussion the audit team explains the findings using the development scales, and reflects, together with a team delegation, on success factors and potential actions and targets for improvement.
- Reflection discussion with the policy team on quality development.
- Reflection discussion with members of the school team on the quality area.
- Reflection discussion with teachers on teaching and education practice.
During the concluding discussion the audit team gives the final grading for all inspections and the opinion, while stating reasons for the taken decisions.
